Sažetak
The persistently high mortality rate of patients with acute renal failure calls for different modes of management. Our study showed that the outcome of patients with ARF was better in the group dialysed on polysulphone membrane compared to modifed cellulose acetate. The severity of the underlying condition upon inclusion into the study was not different in two groups according APACHE II score. Furthermore by the patients with multiple organe failure we have demonstrated better outcome when the biocompatible membrane was used for haemodialysis.
