Sažetak
Pelagic fisheries in the area of the eastern part of the Adriatic Sea, more precisely in the Croatian fishing ground, is one of the most important type of fisheries in Croatia. Within this paper the quantitative and qualitative analysis of catches obtained by the purse seine „ciplara“ from 2013 – 2018 in Croatian part of Adriatic Sea were analysed. According to collected data, it was noticed that the largest catches with this fishing gear are made in the coastal area, precisely in fishing zones/subzones A/A4, E/E2, F/F2, C/C4 and G/G1. 70% of the realized catches with this fishing gear are consisted of targeted species, which indicates the purse seine „ciplara“as selective fishing gear. Biological analyses are given for four target species.
