Sažetak
An air bearing is an essential part of the CubeSat testing setup. It emulates frictionless environment present in the Low Earth Orbit before the launch, which is essential for Attitude Determination and Control System testing and verification. Commercial air bearings are usually limited in terms of rotational freedom and can be quite expensive. In this paper, the design and the manufacturing process of the low cost 3D-printed spherical air bearing is presented. The sphere, which allows full rotational freedom, is designed to accommodate one unit CubeSat. All printing parameters are set using Ultimaker Cura software. The air bearing is printed using Creality Ender-2 3D printer, minimizing the overall build costs without compromising on build quality.
