Sažetak
The characteristics of thread for cotton knitwear making are described. The meaning and significance of knitwear softening, specific quality in technological process of knitting wear sewing are observed. By changing the measuring system it is possible to establish very precisely the piercing force of sewing needle, which is significantly with the knitwear ladder damage and the quality of clothes making. Three kinds of a 100% cotton knitwear depending of knitting cultivation, kind and concentration of softener, fineness of sewing needle and thread, number of layers, the possibility of lowering and correction of piercing needle in the sewing process of knitting wear is examined.
