Sažetak
During a floristic survey carried out in the surroundings of the settlement of Sveti Rok (southern Mt Velebit, Croatia), some individuals of Cystopteris were collected and subsequently identified as C. dickieana. This record is the first for Croatian vascular flora and for the NW part of the Balkan area. It is a circumHolarctic species, although generally rare within its distribution area, and grows in the rock crevices. Due to the difficulty of distinguishing it within the C. fragilis species complex, its distribution at world level and its ecology are still not sufficiently known. Some notes on the environment in which the species was found, taxonomical details and identification key for Cystopteris taxa known for Croatia are also presented.
