Sažetak
INFORMATION ON BLACK ROT OF GRAPES (Guignardia bidwellii) IN CROATIA The topic of this article is a Black rot disease that is very rare in Croatia. It appeared for the first time in 1929 in Split area (Picbauer 1929). In the 1934 (Ferraris) year disease ravaged vineyards on the island Krk causing very high losses in yield. On this area the parasite is still present today although it does not cause great damages because of chemical control that is being carried out. Besides the island Krk the disease is also spread on the nearby island Cres and on the continental area of Rijeka, Crikvenica, Novi Vinodolski and in norden part of Istra. Occasionally it has been noticed on the island Korčula and in the area of Dubrovnik. The description of symptoms, biology of Guignardia bidwellii and measures of protection are given in the article.
