Sažetak
Marriage rates have declined over the past few decades in entire Europe. Rate of concluded marriages has been on the tree decade scale dropping in Hungary, lately the rate has increased and become stabile. Pluralization of family forms started in the middle of the 80’s. The changing structure of the economy, the broadening possibilities for enrolment in university, the growing career opportunities for both young men and women, on the one hand, and unemployment and growing inequalities, on the other hand, had some effect on family formations.
