Sažetak
The paper describes some procedures for the intelligent control of systems which are also applicable in the control of ship systems. Significant element of intelligent control is qualitative modelling, which is the main topic of the paper. The most important definitions and starting points to intelligent control of the complex systems, as well as the advantages of using qualitative interface in the control of processes are briefly presented.
