Sažetak
The Euganean Geothermal Field (EGF) located in the central part of Veneto region is one of the most important thermal field in northern Italy. This works renews the conceptual model of the thermal system highlighting its connection with the regional Schio-Vicenza fault system. The highly permeable damage zone of the Schio-Vicenza fault locally increases the circulation of the thermal water favoring their rising in the thermal area. This conceptual model is validated using 2D fluid flow and heat transport numerical simulations. The best results shows a local temperature increase in correspondence with the thermal field reaching values that are compatible with field observations (65-86°C).
