Sažetak
The paper seeks to weigh the benefits and costs of industry 4.0 enabled blue-tooth based digital contact tracing for COVID 19. The paper identifies the centralized and decentralized approach as two fundamental approaches to the problem. It further identifies the benefits and costs of the “centralized approach” as being primarily greater data availability versus legal and public opposition and the benefits and costs of the “decentralized approach” as being greater data security, lesser risk of government overreach, and greater public support versus less data availability for research and enforcement purposes. Ultimately the paper concludes that the decentralized approach presents a superior option for combating the spread of COVID 19 for the countries of Europe and North America.
