Sažetak
The earthquake that hit Skopje on 26th of July 1963 demolished 80% of its urban tissue. The catastrophic event promoted capital of Macedonia as an ultimate late-modern urban laboratory where transnational trajectories of advanced architectural research and local culture were intersecting and cross- fertilising. Rebuilding the city consequently earned Skopje the unofficial title of the capital of brutalism.
