Sažetak
Now day’s definition of the green buildings, according to the LEED standards, and sustainable development postulates, is that the building must be energy efficient, environmental friendly and community supportive, innovative in design. According to the growing problem of global warming and increasing of world population, houses and cities of the future will not at all look like today’s, they will be built with great respect to sustainability. Crowdfunding, collaborative and holistic approach to architecture, as essential attributes connected to the future architecture will be explained and put in the contest of green libraries design. This work will present the researches about future building materials, reusable and recyclable, and innovative technologies – buildings constructed of old fashion materials such as wood and mud, but implemented into improved structures, which will not be only sustainable, but the constructive part of the nature. Green libraries will take place in those future structures, being part of them, or being pioneers. It is possible to make libraries in recycled architectural structures, in 3d printed houses, or in alive buildings. The architects of Modernism thought that they will change the world with architecture, by finding and building the future concept of working and living through urban planning and designing buildings. Architect and librarians of today can make an influence on the society to embrace sustainability, designing green architecture especially green libraries.
