Sažetak
Paper describes the use of published geometries , published bodies (solids) and MML (multi model links) in the design process with CATIA V5 CAD program for design of Steam turbine components, like turbine casings used in the steam turbine modules. It assists the designer in creating Product Components, which are all producible parts. The modelling process describes how a Product Component has to be created in context "symmetric" and "non- symmetric" machining. In the case of Machined Parts all machining operations have to be designed with negative features using some rules needed for NC-programming what will be described in the paper. The result is a shortening of processing time, cost reduction and shorter delivery time of turbine modules.
