Sažetak
The book presenting Croatian heritage was developed out of the need to create a kind of imagery that would give a review of cultural heritage in all its fullness, diversity and uniqueness. It is not a complete, scientifically processed and completed image that summarizes the entire heritage and connects each individual part. The intention was to emphasize the main topics, to highlight the highest achievements of Croatia’s natural and cultural, tangible and intangible heritage. By seeing it in one place, we can follow its uniqueness in the national context, as well as its traces and links to the universal and European historical heritage. Alen Žunić writes about the most recent Islamic architecture in Croatia - the mosque in Rijeka - which has both architectural and sculptural qualities of international cultural value.
