Sažetak
The applicant of the project Assisting Better Communication is Ilia State University, Tbilisi, Georgia. During the last 10 years the need for speech and language therapy services in Georgia has become more and more evident due to the progressive awareness of communication, speech and language related disabilities, both in children and adults. So, these project aims to introduce (in Georgia) and enhance the profession of SLT in the participating countries (Israel, Bosnia and Herzegovina) through elaboration of quality courses offered at different levels of higher and professional education. ABC initiative is focusing on four objectives: 1. Project participants will ensure development of SLT curricula ensuring provision of recent trends at all educational levels related to the SLT field. The process of curricula development consists of activities related to developing working groups, study visits and Training for Trainers, development of materials, activities, courses, program (thematic modules), and practical placements for professional advancement. 2. Piloting of the Curricula for SLT preparation will be held at various levels of higher education. Each thematic module will be considering the requirements of the corresponding level of education and the learning needs of the participating audience. Also, MA program’s students exchange will contribute to further increase in professional skills. 3. To ensure application of recent teaching methodology is one of the key objectives. The quality assurance methodology is divided in two directions – one focuses on the teaching and learning, and the other focuses on the project management. 4. Dissemination of the contemporary issues. This poster presentation will present details of this three years project with regard to its dynamics, and the specific roles of participating countries.
