Sažetak
The majority of the energy needs of the world’s growing population is still fulfilled by fossil fuels ; therefore, focusing on energy savings is imperative. Efficient heat transfer equipment becomes necessary to reduce energy consumption and thus save energy as well as other resources. Such techniques not only reduce emissions and pollution, but they also help control the increase in carbon dioxide. Furthermore, heat transfer enhancement has become both attractive and challenging in different fields such as solar energy collecting systems, thermal energy storage, two-phase cooling systems for electronics, advanced nuclear reactors, multichannel heat exchangers, automotive heating and cooling systems, refrigeration units for food storage and transportation, and parts of industrial chemical processes.
