Sažetak
Depending on the person's desires and needs, he or she uses different techniques of manipulation to make it easier to achieve the goals set. With the techniques of manipulation in interpersonal relations, certain psychological phenomena and psychological principles are also recognized. The paper deals with the features of impression management during conscious use of manipulation techniques and of key, intrinsic factors in the impression management. We provide an overview of key factors, as well as their features. The terminology that equates self-representation and impression management is explained. The paper also deals with those manipulation techniques that can be used as an indirect self-representation tactics, with an additional focus on lobbying as a relatively unrecognized tactic in this area. Ultimately, self-indulgence and work on themselves contribute to the improvement of the desired image, projection, and control of the notion of self.
