Sažetak
One of the main aims of contemporary neuroscience studies is to investigate the effects of physical exercise and mindfulness on learning, physical and mental well-being. This study aims to present the design of an educational program, which is in accordance with the findings in neuroscience that show a positive effect of both intervention types on motivation and mindfulness. The significance of this study is presented in three ways. Firstly, the study presents contemporary findings in neuroscience about physical exercise and mindfulness both in general context and within the context of educational sciences. Secondly, it presents the design of an educational program based on a holistic paradigm that implies the four aspects of human being (body, mind, soul, and spirit). And thirdly, the positive effects of the program are shown through measures of motivation, self- determination (perceived competence), and mindfulness both quantitatively and qualitatively.
