Sažetak
In an overview it is presented the evolution of treatment during 50 years of intramedullary nailing due to fractures and deformities of long bones in patients with ostegenesis imperfecta. Also, etiology of disease as well as etiology of complex long bone deformities is outlined. Treatment concepts are based on experience with several generations of telescoping intramedullary implants. Illustrative clinical and complex long bone deformities from own surgical practice treated with the latest generation of implants were presented.
