Sažetak
Crisis Management is a relatively new discipline that is still developing and through which we strive to act in prevention, preparedness, response and recovery in terms of various crises. The resposibility for solving the crisis lies with the states, but more often crisis are to challenging and too large for countries to independently resolve them, so they seek solutions at the level of international organisations such as the European Union and NATO. The aim of this research is to present and analyse the Civil Protection Crisis Management System of the Republic of Croatia, its development and characteristics, and the influence of membership in the European Union and NATO on enhancing the capacity and ability to develop its own Crisis Management System.
