Sažetak
Over the past twenty years high strength concrete and reactive powder concrete (RPC) have been investigated by many researchers. In Croatia, preliminary investigations into this material aimed at the selection of the right components required to produce reactive powder concrete were done. Based on these investigations, RPC has been developed according to basic principles. The main purpose of the research work described in this paper was the development of RPC, the quality and properties of which would primarily meet requirements set for the possible building of the first structure in Croatia to be made of RPC, i.e. the arch bridge over the Bakar Strait. The whole bridge was planned to be constructed by using precast segments made of RPC.
