Sažetak
Waste management is nowadays getting a lot of attention. The main goals are reducing material consumption, increasing reuse and recycling. Plastics have bad image in public, which mainly comes from not knowing its&#8217 ; recycling possibilities. Plastics waste can be recovered in many ways. Economy of these procedure depends on type, quantity and purity of plastic and other waste. This paper deals with the production of plastic and integrated waste management in Western Europe. recycling of post-user plastic waste in Western Europe has potential to double from 1.2 million tonnes in 1995 to 2.7 million tonnes in 2006. One of the main constraints to reach higher recycling rates is the imbalance between plastic waste (suited for recycling ) collectible for recycling and potential end-markets for the recycled plastic.
