On the day of this talk, on October 10th, 2020 Croatia has officially became an Associate Member State of CERN (the European Organization for Nuclear Research), the world's largest center for particle physics research after signing an Agreement admitting Croatia as an Associate Member of CERN on Feb.28, 2020. I summarize the imoprtance and perspectives of this memebership for physics in Croatia.
