Sažetak
Surgical approach with the triradiate „mercedes“ skin incision in the management of complex tibial plateau fractures is common cause of skin necrosis with subsequent extrusion of osteosynthesis material and exposure of the knee joint. Conservative treatment methods such as necrectomy, using modern wound dressings and negative pressure wound therapy in these defects of lower leg and knee do not give satisfactory results. Using vascularized muscle flaps with skin grafting is the only correct and successful treatment modality in reconstructions of such defects.
