Sažetak
The aim of this poster was to evaluate the applicable protocol of work for antinuclear antibody testing (ANA) by analyzing the results collected during 2012. 3738 requests for ANA testing were processed. The indirect immunofluorescence method on HEp-2 cells (with a titre of 1:100) was used as the screening method. Extractable antinuclear antibodies (ENA) were determinated by enzyme- linked- immunosorbent assay (ELISA) or line immunoassay immuno (LIA) method, and antibodies to histones, nucleosomes and ribosomal P- protein by line immunoassay immuno (LIA) method. The dsDNA double helix antibody was demonstrated by ELISA method. Negative ANA antibodies were identified in 2648 (70.8%) subjects, and borderline positive and positive in 325 (8.7%) and 765 (20.5%) subjects. The frequency of occurrence of positive antibodies to specific antigens was determined. Conclusion Reflexive ENA testig is most helpful in sera with ANA titer ≥1: 640 with the exception of sera with anti-SSA is highly probable. Since anti-dsDNA was foind only rarely in ANA negative or bordeline samples, w should revise our protocol which imply requested anti-dsDNA testing regardless of the ANA-screening results.
