Sažetak
Vocational education has a role of development professional and work of essential competences that must meet the needs of a modern, competitive and flexible maritime labour market, ready for rapid changes. It also has to support the rise of certain companies in such a labour market. This implies the need for a different approach to learning and teaching, the application of different methods and procedures of practical training in the teaching process, and the new competences of practical training teachers. The aim of the project is to contribute to the adaptation of vocational and practical education to changes in the maritime labour market while at the same time creating human and material prerequisites for implementation of the new modular curriculum in the feld of inspection and personnel management as well as to enable vertical mobility in the education system. The principle of learning based on work is to build courses on practical training related to particular maritime sectors or employers so that everyday learning as part of common training and practice can be assessed and acknowledged in the academic framework without the need for unnecessary duplication. This allows, for the frst time, obtaining a diploma and at the same time meeting the conditions for a higher internship and professional structure.
