Sažetak
Superior properties, such as: high yielding strength, high flow limit, harden ability, weld ability, easy heat treatment without deformations (no protection required, no risk of deformation and danger during cooling period have led to widespread application of maraging steels not only in manufacture of diverse construction components but also in manufacture of molds (i.e. for processing of polymers, for pressure casting, etc.). The required operational properties of these steels are obtained by precipitating solidification. The paper presents effects of aging parameters on mechanical properties of maraging steel 18 9 5. Aging testing were carried out in dilatometer accompanied by simultaneous registration of forthcoming alternations of size. Aging parameters were established so as to achieve the highest hardness values. Meticulous analysis of dilatometric aging curves indicates that this steel may be successfully applied in production of constructio and tool appliances up to maximal operational temperature of 500 °C.
