Sažetak
In 1776 in Venice, Ivan Lovrić (c. 1754-77), a writer and polemicist from a wealthy Sinj family, published a work entiteled Osservazioni di Giovanni Lovrich sopra diversi pezzi del Viaggio in Dalmazia del signor abate Alberto Fortis coll'aggiunta della vita di Socivicza, a critical and polemical response to Fortis' Viaggio in Dalmazia (Venice 1774). Lovrić's Notes constitue a form of travel writing in themselves, not simply at the level of response to Fortis nor at the level of audience (the circles who read Fortis) but also at the level of narrative - as a opposing or countervailing textual representation of space.
