Sažetak
Communication and information technologies now affect most aspects of our lives including healthcare. Due to the Internet, communication revolution has been started. Lions Croatian Eye Bank (LCEB) has been coordinating center for the EEBA since the 12th EEBA Congress. LCEB has already formed EEBA web site containing general informations and technical details of each Eye Bank. Future of computer linkage brings new conception into EEBA web site, electronic mail, video-conferencing and telemedicine. EEBA web site can be improved by web pages of each EEBA member (contact information, eye bank staff and their CV, activities, publications and scientific works, network links with all EEBA members) and chat service. Electronic mail will enable fast correspondence, exchange of attached files, scientific articles and digital pictures. Video conferencing in its most basic form is the transmission of image and speech back and forth between two or more physically separate locations. Video conferencing brings organizational and cross-organizational meetings improvement and distance education. Telemedicine is the sending of information, in the form of voice, photographs or video to perform a medical consultation or diagnosis. Grace to the EEBA all their members became one big family, but communication through Internet can make their connection stronger, better and closer.
