Sažetak
The aim of the research was to determine how Education students as universities in three countries South Africa, Bulgarioa and Croatia experience Comparative Education. Students experience of Comparative Education was probed by means of questionnaires at four universities. Students find Comparative Education meaningful - wich begs a reconsideration of the persistent downcaling of Comparative Education in teacher training programmes and in post-graduate education programmes. In drafting Comparative Education curricula the focus should be shifted from area studies to thematic studies. As far as area studies figure, a criterion should be national education systems presenting an object lesson for the domestic education preject.
