Sažetak
This paper presents the optimization procedure for shaping of minimum wave resistance twin hull ships. For the basic source/sink distribution over a skeleton surface inside the demihull of twin hull ship and for additional sink and doublet distribution over vertical line at bow, numerical realization of optimization was developed. The preliminary analysis for ˝sheltering effect˝ was given. The validation has been carried out only by comparing the present results for ˝mathematical model˝ with the experimental data for Wigley model. Of course, the validity must await further experimental confirmation.
