Sažetak
In this paper, an overview of the impact of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations on harmonic distortions in the distribution grid are given. Problems that are recognized as a result of the impact of the rapid rise of EV technology and their implementation in modern urban transport are presented through an overview of relevant research primarily related to the EU region and the concentration of EVs and EV charging stations in only a few countries. The effects of harmonics produced by EV chargers are not properly limited by adequate protection causing malfunctions at the facilities and equipment of the residential facilities. The paper emphasizes the need to match the speed of growth of EV technology with the speed of changes in the accompanying standards and the improvement of designers' education.
