Sažetak
Identifying and specifying user requirements is an integral part of information systems design and is critical for the project success. More than 40% of the reasons for the project failure presented in the CHAOS report (Standish Group, 1994) are related to requirements. The goal of this paper is to present relevant user and software requirements related to a new electronic quality management system for medical device companies. Risk-based requirements analysis includes the following steps: analysis of the current IT systems and architecture, definition of relevant processes and user/software requirements, requirements risk identification and analysis, mapping processes to information needs, and design high level “to be” processes landscape. This paper describes the structured evaluation and selection process of different quality management software solutions (TrackWise, SmartSolve, CATSWeb, MasterControl, Agile Advantage and Quality*Stream) that shall support business processes.
