Sažetak
In a scope of Hunting for Sustainabilty project a cultural meanings of hunting in Gorski Kotar were investigated. Focus groups and interviews with hunters and non-hunters were used as a method. In total 28 participants took part in research. Some of the results pointed out that hunting does not mean to kill an animal - hunters harvest the animal and the actual act of harvesting is only one part of the whole hunting activity. Hunters express the view that the future of hunting is in tourism, commercialisation and elitism.
