Sažetak
The paper presents a study of engine speed influence on compression ignition combustion of light naphtha. The combustion modes that are used in this study are fully premixed and partially premixed gasoline compression ignition with fixed intake temperature. Five different engine speeds are tested 1800 rpm, 2200 rpm, 2650 rpm, 3100 rpm and 3500 rpm. The analysis consists of comparison of results at similar operating parameters and of comparisons of performance at optimum operating parameters in terms of combustion phasing. The control of combustion phasing is performed by stratification of the mixture using second (late) direct injection of the fuel.
