Sažetak
Synthesis of microcapsules using melamine- formaldehyde as wall and paraffin as core material was developed through the in-situ polymerization technique. The microcapsules obtained were characterized by optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), infrared spectroscopy by Fourier Transform (FT- IR) and thermogravimetry (TGA). The material characterization showed optimal structures with smooth and homogeneous surface, the paraffin encapsulation, and the microcapsules degradation temperatures, indicating that the encapsulation of PCM protect it from the external environment. Impregnation of the microcapsules on polyurethane foams was performed and a qualitative assessment of the system was carried out using a thermograph, corroborating the thermal efficiency of the microcapsules in the foam.
