Sažetak
Density reduction, stiff ness increase, increase in fracture toughness, fatigue crack growth resistance and crack propagation behaviour are considered to be the benefi ts of aluminum- magnesium-lithium (Al-Mg-Li) alloy application. The mechanical properties result from microstructure development during solidifi cation. The solidifi cation sequence is manly infl uenced by chemical composition and thermodynamic parameters. The investigation was conducted in order to estimate the infl uence of Li and Mg additions, as well as diff erent heating and cooling rates on solidifi cation of Al-2, 2Mg- 2, 1Li alloy.
