Sažetak
The concept of evangelization in the Catholic Church has undergone various accentuations since Vatican II. Pope Francis’ Apostolic Constitution Veritatis gaudium (of Decembre 8, 2017) reiterates the close link of Church’s evangelizing mission and mission of theology. It brings at least four criteria for a contribution of all ecclesiastical studies to a Church of missionary outreach, that emerge from the Second Vatican Council’s teaching and the Church’s experience in past decades. Based on these criteria, the curricula of the education of Catholic Religious Education teachers in Croatia are examined, and their correspondence to the contemporary ecclesial and societal needs is proofed.
