Sažetak
The effect of newly synthesized Schiff base 3-/2-Aminophenylimino (p-toluoyl)-4hydroxy-6-(p-tolyl)-2H-pyran-2-one on the growth and biosynthesis of F-2 toxin by mold Fusarium graminearum ZMPBF 1244 was studied in yeast extract-sucrose (YES) medium at pH 5, 5. YES medium was treated with various amounts of Schiff base after inoculation with F.graminearum. Experiments were carried out in a stationary culture at temperatures of 10 and 20oC, respectively, with and without "temperature shock", for 21 days. The amount of biomass was estimated gravimetrically, and concentration of F-2 toxin was measured using a fluorodensitometer.
