Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to analyze different modes of sacralization processes, from resacralisation of pre-Christian sacred places within the Christian register, to the institutional and non-institutional sacralization of Christian or memorial sites. The author discusses the changing imaginations of the “sacred” and the role such changes play in the making and remaking of a sacred place, in past and present contexts. The paper is primarily based on ethnographic research conducted over the years in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
