Sažetak
Modern economic trends outline accessibility as one of the key comparative developmental prerequisites. The European Commission presented macro-regions as an innovative cooperation model among European countries (EU members and non- members). They are designed in order to prompt the promotion of even economic development on the whole European area. The Republic of Croatia i.e. its scope of area belongs to the Adriatic-Ionian (coastal part) and the Danube macro-region (whole Republic of Croatia). The need for integration of macro-regions imposes the need for developing adequate transport corridors. This paper gives an overview of basic challenges and potentials of the Vc transport corridor port of Ploče – Mostar – Sarajevo - Slavonski Brod -Budapest/Belgrade.
