Sažetak
Development of the Contract Law in Croatia – Selected Topics The Croatian contract law in the period after 1991. has not been significantly changed, even though new Obligations Act has been enacted in 2005. All basic features of the Croatian contract law remained virtually the same as before, however, in many details new Obligations Act is different in comparison to the old Obligations Act. This is true regarding regulation on vices of consent (error and dissensus), cause of contractual obligations, regulation of defective goods and immovable property within a sale contract, clausula rebus sic stantibus, introduction of new contracts and reforming few old ones. It should also be noted that structure of the new Obligations Act was altered, and same rules that existed in the old Obligations Act have been transferred within the new Obligations Act in a different place. Finally, the Croatian contract is not only regulated by the Obligations Act, but also by a large number of legislative acts governing a specific subject matter. This fact should not be neglected when comparing legal systems that were formerly regulated by the old Obligations Act.
