Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to indicate the aspects of tourism and the hotel industry of the future iin view of predictable social and economical conditions, and changes in the lives and work of people-tourists of the 21st century. Tourism and the hotel industry will become one of the largest world industries. The globalizaaation (unification) and localizaation (diversification) processes will designate both world tourism and regional tourism. A balance ef economy and ecology will be achieved in tourism. This paper pursues the answers to the questions: Who will be the tourists of the future? What kind of needs and wishes they will have? Work compositioon: following the introduction, detailed guidelines for tourism and the hotel industry of the future aare proposed, and future hotel models delineated.
