Sažetak
By analyzing the patient files of the Trieste asylum "Andrea Galatti" from 1908 until 1930 the transition of the city is being analyzed as well as its relation towards its surroundings. A specific attention has been given to the urban/rural divide of its patients and the transformation of psychiatric practice from a central one in the given area towards a peripheral one.
