Sažetak
This paper deals with the work of the Croatian post-conceptual artist and shaman Vladimir Dodig Trokut (b. 1949), whose works directly invoke occult knowledge. Artistic work of Dodig Trokut corroborates the view that there is interest for mystical themes in the European line of conceptual art, whereas there is none in the dominant Anglo-Saxon line. Since the beginnings of his art practice (in the late 1960’s), Dodig Trokut has been using elements of archetypal, atavistic language, ritual and magical practices, as well as knowledge and experiences of Hermetism and Kabbalah in his installation and performance art.
