Sažetak
Antun Augustinčić (Klanjec, 4 May 1900 – Zagreb, 10 May 1979), master sculptor, university professor, and academician, is the author of many monuments displayed throughout the world (Ethiopia, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, United States..), some of which are presented in the permanent exhibit of the Gallery in Klanjec (Croatia) that bears his name. Monuments are a specific segment of sculpture because their museological interpretation requires contextualization. They involve intertwined historical, cultural, and political elements without the awareness of which it is impossible to recognize all the characteristics of a monument. The publication present sketches and models for the monuments in the permanent exhibit of Antun Augustinčić Gallery and tells the stories of their creation and fate.
