Sažetak
The Cu(II) complexes of a pyridinologous tri- and tetrapyrrole ligand which have recently been shown to be catalytically active were investigated by X-ray crystallography together with the Ni(II), Co(II), and Zn(II) complexes of the first ligand. These ligands displayed an astonishingly variable complexation behavior which uniquely allows to accommodate specific ligand field demands of a certain metal ion. This behavior seems to be an ideal prerequisite to provide catalytically active systems.
