Sažetak
This study aims to gain a deeper understanding of preschool teachers’ professional development. Using the method of the educational biography, the specific goals referred to gaining insight into the educational perceptions of the key events, incentives, and obstacles during professional development, the positioning, and experience of their roles, responsibilities, and functions, and the vision of the future of the preschool teaching profession. In the research that included 13 female preschool teachers, we used drawing, storytelling, and open-ended questions, which the participants answered in writing. The application of the visual and narrative approach proved an effective qualitative tool for enriching our understanding of how preschool teachers experience their professional development. It can be concluded that the educational biography enables preschool teachers to understand their professional paths better and design their development plans.
