Sažetak
This research report consists of three parts: 1) Research about evolution versus time of the insulation of transformers and motors. 2) Research about parameters and thresholds of the homopolar directional protections for the industrial plant electrical system. Report of the market state on commercially available homopolar directional protection (67N) and their programming characteristics. 3) EMTP-RV model of an electrical system in an industrial plant with protection model and report with model description and simulation results. Simulations are performed using Protection toolbox in EMTP-RV. Different possible implementations and protection settings are tested and optimum configuration of relay protection in terms of operational efficiency is identified.
