Sažetak
For elemental analysis using nuclear techniques, despite its comparative simplicity, target preparation is still of paramount importance for performing a good analysis, especially when the elements of interest exist in samples at trace and ultra-trace concentrations as is often the case for biological materials. In this paper, a brief review of target preparation is presented for total reflection X-ray fluorescence (TXRF), proton induced X-Tay emission (PIXE), microprobe proton induced X- ray emission (muPIXE) and microprobe X-ray fluorescence (muXRF).
